Orebro SK has chosen to freeze out players Erik Andersson, Oskar Käck and Melvin Bajrovic. This comes after sports manager Enes Ahmetovic was given continued trust and the task of reshaping the club.
What happened?
On Monday, the three players were allowed to warm up with the rest of the team but not participate in ball drills.
Why?
The likely reason is a combination of the fact that they are not good enough in relation to what they cost per month. Too little effect. ÖSK struggles like many clubs in Superettan with the economy and then it's about being able to cut costs.
Reactions
Magnus Erlingmark, secretary general of the Swedish Players' Association, reacted to the alleged treatment of the players. "In this case, it's about established players who are made to run on the side, and that's not okay." Enes Ahmetovic responded to Erlingmark: "I think that if we had done something wrong, Erlingmark would have pointed it out to us and then gotten the whole picture."
